My mother spent most of her life residing in my childhood home for over 40 years filled with many oppressive memories in Virginia. When she visits us in NJ, we see how genuinely happy she is.
After many years of encouraging her to start a new life here with us, she now feels she is living her new life at 70 years of age.
This painting is reflective of her life's transition. We are starting a new life together.
